A strategic step closer to our customers
Omipa continues to expand its international footprint with the opening of a new office in Mexico.
This strategic step reinforces our commitment to being closer to our customers and partners all over the world, offering dedicated commercial support and a deeper understanding of local market needs.
With a permanent presence in the region, Omipa aims to enhance communication, responsiveness and long-term collaboration across Mexico.
To support this development, we are pleased to welcome Ms. Haydeé Aguilar, who will be responsible for the commercial activities in the area and will act as a direct point of contact for customers.
Meet Haydeé Aguilar
In this short interview, Haydeé shares her perspective on the Mexican market and on how Omipa’s presence can create value for local customers.
1. Haydeé, how did you become part of the Omipa world?
At the beginning of my studies, I focused on foreign languages, as my initial goal was to work in an embassy or in an international environment. Over time, however, my interest gradually shifted toward technical fields and engineering.
I have a strong technical background and experience across mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, quality systems, and plastic processing. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work in different industrial environments, which allowed me to develop a broad and practical understanding of production processes and technical problem solving.
Thanks to my experience in the extrusion sector, I eventually came into contact with the Omipa world. This opened the door to an exciting opportunity: starting a new chapter here in Mexico, with the goal of strengthening the company’s presence and providing closer support to local customers.
Being based in Mexico allows us to better understand the needs of the market and to offer customers not only machinery, but also reliable technical support and a long-term partnership.
2. From your point of view, what are the main opportunities and challenges of the Mexican market for extrusion technologies today?
Mexico offers strong opportunities for the extrusion market, as many manufacturers are increasingly focused on improving production quality and efficiency while keeping costs competitive. One of the main challenges is helping customers understand that a low-price machine does not always mean lower production costs in the long term.
Omipa can make a real difference thanks to the reliability of its technology and the availability of true after-sales support, which is not always guaranteed by other suppliers. Our machinery allows customers to maintain precise control over key production parameters such as thickness, useful width, and output, ensuring consistent quality.
Mexico’s proximity to the United States and Canada also strengthens its role as an important manufacturing hub. At the same time, growing attention to sustainability, recycling, and circular economy initiatives is driving the demand for more advanced and efficient extrusion technologies—an area where Omipa’s solutions fit perfectly.
3. How will Omipa’s permanent presence in Mexico benefit customers in the region, both from a commercial and a relationship standpoint?
A permanent presence in Mexico will strengthen relationships with existing customers and facilitate the development of new partnerships. Being locally available ensures faster communication, closer support, and a deeper understanding of customer needs.
My role here is not only to provide commercial and technical support, but to assist customers throughout the entire project, offering a 360° approach. This means being available to help them not only with machinery selection and technical aspects, but also by supporting them in other areas such as logistics coordination, project development, and exploring financial solutions together when needed.
This proximity makes collaboration more efficient and transparent, allowing us to respond more quickly and effectively to customers’ requirements. At the same time, it reinforces Omipa’s position in the Mexican market and creates the right conditions for further growth and new projects.
