1. Mr. Krebs, could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role as an Omipa representative?
My name is Giovanni Krebs, CEO of Teximetal, a Peruvian company with more than 74 years of history and one of the country’s leading suppliers of machinery and engineering solutions for the plastics industry.
Throughout these decades, Teximetal has represented some of the world’s most prestigious manufacturers, always focusing on innovation, technical expertise, and long-term customer relationships.
We are proud to represent Omipa in Peru, bringing Italian engineering excellence and advanced extrusion technologies to the local market. Our role goes beyond commercial representation—we support our customers throughout the entire investment process, from selecting the right technology to installation, commissioning, and after-sales service.

2. From your point of view, what are the main opportunities and challenges of the Peruvian market for extrusion technologies today?
The Peruvian plastics industry continues to modernize, creating strong opportunities for advanced extrusion technologies that improve productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
At the same time, sustainability is becoming increasingly important. More manufacturers are incorporating recycled materials into their production, which requires extrusion systems capable of processing these materials consistently while maintaining high performance and product quality.
The main challenge is achieving the right balance between sustainability and competitiveness. Companies are looking for technologies that not only reduce environmental impact but also improve operational efficiency and deliver a solid return on investment. This is where Omipa’s engineering expertise and innovative solutions can provide significant value.
3. How will Omipa’s permanent presence in Peru benefit customers in the region, both from a commercial and a relationship standpoint?
