Meet our South American Partner: Adrián Borovich of Megaplastic

Omipa agent in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile

At Omipa, we believe that innovation travels further when it is supported by strong local partnerships. Our international network of agents allows us to combine Italian engineering excellence with an in-depth understanding of the needs of each market, providing customers with reliable support at every stage of their projects.

Today, we are pleased to introduce Mr. Adrián Borovich, who represents Omipa in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay and Paraguay through Megaplastic S.R.L.. With more than 26 years of experience in the plastic extrusion industry and a well-established presence across South America, Megaplastic plays a key role in bringing Omipa’s technologies closer to customers throughout the region.

We spoke with Mr. Borovich about the opportunities and challenges of the South American market, the growing importance of sustainability and recycled materials, and the value of combining local expertise with Omipa’s technological know-how.

Interview with Mr. Adrián Borovich

1. Mr. Borovich, could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role as an Omipa representative?

My name is Adrián Borovich, and I work for Megaplastic in Argentina. I have been dedicated to developing projects in the field of plastic extrusion for 26 years, covering several South American markets, including Chile, Uruguay, and Paraguay, in addition to Argentina.

We currently have our headquarters in Buenos Aires, as well as offices in Santiago, Chile, and Montevideo, Uruguay, with staff trained by us.

We have known Omipa for many years through its presence at international exhibitions, and we have always been impressed by the high level of technology applied to its machinery and designs.

2. From your point of view, what are the main opportunities and challenges of the Peruvian market for extrusion technologies today?

Our region is sometimes challenging due to unstable economies. However, this is not an obstacle, as there are always opportunities to be seized even during periods of instability.

Today, we see promising project opportunities in our region, especially in the areas of energy efficiency, digital control and data management, and the incorporation of recycled materials into production processes.

Sustainability is now a key factor for the industry, and Omipa is well positioned to meet all these current requirements.

3. How will Omipa’s permanent presence in your area of responsibility benefit customers in the region, both commercially and in terms of customer relationships?

We believe that a consistent presence in our region is crucial, and the Megaplastic–Omipa partnership is highly valued.

  • From Megaplastic’s perspective, because we can be involved in the day-to-day management of projects and requirements, providing local support in Spanish.
  • From Omipa’s perspective, because we have the support of one of the leading developers and manufacturers of extrusion machinery and lines.

This gives customers the assurance that they will always receive answers and support, even for the smallest details.

And there is something else that is equally important: making customers feel supported not only by a supplier, but by a true technology partner. This is achieved through building strong, long-term human relationships.
