K2025 through the eyes of our CEO Fabio Cazzani

Insights, Trends, and the Future of Extrusion

K2025 has just come to an end, once again confirming its role as the most important global event for the plastics and extrusion industry.
For Omipa, this edition was more than a fair — it was a moment of exchange, reflection, and renewed direction.

In this exclusive interview, Fabio Cazzani, CEO of Omipa, shares his impressions from the event: what stood out the most, the topics that captured visitors’ attention, and how Omipa is already moving in line with the industry’s future demands.

From sustainability to automation, from new market expectations to the evolution of our extrusion lines, this conversation offers an authentic look at where Omipa stands — and where it’s heading.

Ā
What is your overall impression of K2025 for Omipa?

Despite a challenging global economic context, K2025 once again proved to be a pivotal meeting point forĀ  our industry.Ā

The level of participation, the quality of the attendees, and the depth of the conversations confirmed that this fair remains a strategic reference for anyone involved in plastics processing and extrusion technology.Ā

For Omipa, it was no exception. We were pleased to see strong interest in our solutions, meaningful exchanges with long-standing partners,Ā  and genuine curiosity from new potential customers. The fair offered us the chance to present our vision, listen to market needs, and reconnect with the international community that shapes our sector.Ā

In this sense, K2025 was not just an event — it was an opportunity.Ā

An opportunity to strengthen relationships, to share our approach to sustainability and innovation, and to reaffirm our commitment to responsible, forward-thinking extrusion technology.Ā

What were the key themes you presented at K2025, and how were they received by visitors?Ā

At K2025 we chose to highlight the topics that best represent Omipa’s identity today: sustainability, advanced automation, the strength of our standard extrusion lines, and the added value of the services thatĀ  go beyond the machine itself.Ā

Sustainability was certainly at the center.
Visitors appreciated our commitment to processing PIR and PCR materials, our focus on energy-efficientĀ  solutions, and our continuous effort to reduce environmental impact through responsible innovation.

We also showcased our approach to automation and user-friendly operation, demonstrating how our linesĀ  combine high performance with intuitive control systems — enabling both experienced operators and new generations to work confidently and efficiently.Ā

Another key point was the solid foundation provided by our standard extrusion lines, developed over decades of experience and adaptable to highly customized applications. Many attendees valued this balance between proven reliability and tailored solutions.

Finally, we emphasized the importance of services beyond extrusion lines: after-sales support, spare parts, revamping projects, and the supply of single units. This broader offering was particularly well received, asĀ  visitors increasingly look for long-term partners rather than suppliers.Ā

Overall, the feedback was extremely positive. People recognized not only the technology we showcased, but the philosophy behind it — a combination of experience, innovation, and ā€œresponsible thinking.ā€

How does this edition of K inspire or confirm the next directions for Omipa?Ā

K2025 offered us a clear picture of where our industry is heading, and it strongly confirmed the path we are already pursuing. The increasing demand for sustainable solutions — from the use of recycled materials toĀ  the need for lower energy consumption — aligns perfectly with our long-term vision and the principles of responsible thinking that guide our work.Ā

Ā We also observed a growing interest in automation and user-friendly systems, confirming the importance of designing lines that combine high performance with intuitive operation. This trend reinforces our commitment to developing technologies that are accessible to both experienced operators and the new generation entering the workforce.Ā

Moreover, the fair highlighted the value of reliability and flexibility: two qualities embodied by our standard extrusion lines, which represent a stable, proven foundation adaptable to tailor-made projects.Ā

The conversations we had at K2025 showed that customers increasingly seek partners capable of offering not just machines, but long-term expertise and comprehensive support. In this sense, K2025 was a powerful reminder that our strategy is moving in the right direction — and an inspiration to continue investing in innovation, sustainability, and the continuous evolution of our solutions.
