Interview with Mr. Axel Neumann
1. Mr. Neumann, could you introduce yourself and tell us about your role as an Omipa representative?
I am Axel Neumann, and I have dedicated a significant part of my professional career in representing international technologies mainly for plastics, packaging and converting industries with emphasis in the recycling industry.
As CEO of INECO, a Colombian company based in Bogota and with more than six decades of experience, we have developed long-term relationships with manufacturers and customers throughout the region.
Our objective is to bring high-level technologies to the markets of Colombia, Venezuela, Panama, Ecuador and the Dominican Republic, contributing with our knowledge of the industry and the specific needs of each market.
2. From your point of view, what are the main opportunities and challenges of your market for extrusion technologies today?
I see great opportunities in equipment modernization, increased productivity, energy efficiency and the automation of production processes across the region.
Sustainability is also creating new opportunities, particularly with the growing use of recycled materials and the need to develop more efficient and competitive products.
The main challenge remains investment. Customers are looking for technologies that not only deliver strong performance, but also provide a clear return on investment and contribute to improving costs, productivity and product quality.

Omipa’s representation will bring specialized Italian technology and advanced extrusion solutions closer to customers in the mentioned territories that we intend to develop together with Omipa.
Our role is to support customers throughout the entire process, identifying their needs and selecting the right technology to follow up on the project.
We believe that combining Omipa’s technological expertise with our knowledge of the local markets will allow us to build long-term relationships and provide solutions that improve our customers’ productivity and competitiveness.
