High optical quality sheets and corrugated profiles on the same extrusion platform
At Omipa, flexibility is not just an added feature ā it is a design principle.
We are currently testing a highly performing co-extrusion line developed to offer manufacturers the possibility to produce both high optical quality sheets and corrugated profiles on the same production platform.
A solution designed to combine production flexibility, efficiency, and high-quality output while optimizing investment and operational costs.
A versatile co-extrusion solution
One of the main strengths of this extrusion line is its variable configuration.
The system allows the production of:
- high optical quality sheets
- corrugated profiles
This versatility enables manufacturers to quickly adapt production according to different market demands without the need for separate production lines.
The line is particularly suitable for applications where optical quality, dimensional stability, and process flexibility are essential.
Technical characteristics
The line is equipped with:
- Extruders: OM120 + OM45 + OM45
- Thickness range for sheets: 0.5 ā 3 mm
- Thickness range for corrugated profiles: 0.5 ā 1.5 mm
- Output: up to 550 kg/h
- Useful width: 1100 (920) mm Big Sinus profiles
- Useful width: 1260 (860) mm Greca 76/18 profiles
- Useful width: 1600 mm for foils/sheets
Designed for efficiency and operational continuity
The system features a new-generation shaping unit developed to ensure:
- precision
- process stability
- consistent product quality
With a limited investment in tooling, manufacturers can produce a wide variety of products while significantly optimizing production costs.
Another key advantage is the specially engineered calibrator, designed to allow profile shape changes without stopping the machine.
This solution improves:
- operational safety
- production continuity
- overall productivity by reducing downtime during product changes
Turning flexibility into performance
In todayās market, manufacturers increasingly require extrusion technologies capable of adapting quickly to different applications while maintaining high production standards.
This project represents another example of Omipaās approach to extrusion technology: combining reliability, flexibility, and engineering expertise to create solutions designed for real production needs.
